Alice F. Kaiser, 90, of Fond du Lac passed away Wednesday April 9, 2008 at Lakeview Assisted Living.
She was born March 31, 1918 in Fond du Lac the daughter to the late William and Emma Duessel Lieflander.
On May 18, 1940 she married August Kaiser at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac.
Alice worked for Infant Socks and Wells Manufacturing. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines Women’s Chorus, Women’s Bowling League, Red Hat Society, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, and the St. Peter’s Gleaners. She was a volunteer at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home and the Foster Grandparent Program.
Survivors include her daughter Donna (Melvin) Vander Meer of Baldwin, WI and Tavares, FL; four grandchildren: Jeff (Kathy) Vander Meer and their son Matthew August of De Forest, WI, Joel (Debra) Vander Meer and their children: Michael, Kaytlyn, and Joshua of Fort Collins, CO, James (Dawn) Vander Meer and their children Nicole and Kevin of Bainbridge Island, WA, and Jennifer Alice Vander Meer of Lafayette, Co; one sister Marguerite Lange of Fond du Lac and five nieces and nephews: Nancy Kowalkowski, Shirley (Steve ) Thurk, Mary Ellen (Ken) Cudworth, Phyllis (Quinn) Gross, and John (Carol) Lange. She is also survived by many great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband August, an infant daughter Alice, brother-in-law Harold Lange Sr., and one nephew Harold Lange Jr.
Visitation: Family will greet relatives and friends on Monday April 14, 9:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church,52 E. 1st Street
Services: Funeral Services will be on Monday, 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Rev. Jon Cox will officiate. Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be directed to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Building Fund or St. Agnes Hospice Hope Program.
