Kohlmann, Dororthy Ann
Born 1/5/1935, Died 9/22/2008

Dorothy Ann Kohlmann, 73, of 8 S. Kayser Street Fond du Lac was born into eternal life on Monday, September 22, 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Dorothy was born in Johnsburg on January 5, 1935, a daughter of Martin and Olive Pickart Casper.  She was a 1953 honor graduate of St. Mary’s Springs Academy.

On May 14, 1955 Dorothy married Eugene Kohlmann at St. Mary Church in Fond du Lac. 

For thirty-nine years Dorothy and Eugene owned and operated a Dairy Farm in the Dotyville area.  For the past sixteen years she was employed at Agnesian Health Care most recently as a patient sitter. 

Dorothy enjoyed her roses, playing cards, polka dancing and traveling.  She was a member of Holy Family Parish, involved with Catholic Knights Branch 19 as a volunteer and spiritual advisor.  She was also a member of the “We Love to Dance Club.” 

Dorothy is survived by Eugene, her husband for fifty-three years; six children, Nickolas (partner Keith Gunton) of Toronto, Jeff (Ruth) of Dotyville, Mark of Dotyville, David (Chen) of San Antonio, Annette (Roy) Galligan of Fond du Lac, and Ted (Wendy) of Salt Lake City; twelve grandchildren, Chad (Amy), Kellie, Sarah, Rachel (fiancé Bob Benike), Bridget, Adam and Aron Kohlmann, Tania, Ryan and Jared Galligan, James Herman and Jimiyah Jones; and six great-grandchildren.  Special friends of the family are Sandy Kohlmann and Laura King.

She is further survived by a sister and brother, Mary Jane (Bob) Babcock and John William Casper; one step-sister, Fay Vosskuil; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald Birschbach, Mary Kohlman, Catherine (Jerry) Kulow, Dolores Kohlmann, Anna Mae (Delmar) Entringer, Fern Zamzow, and Ken Birschbach.

Preceding in death are her parents, step-father Earl Zamzow, brothers and sister-in-law, Joseph and Alfred Kohlmann, and Rosemary Birschbach.

Visitation:  The family will receive relatives and friends at the Zacherl Funeral Home on Thursday, September 25th, 2008 from 4:00 until 7:30 PM.  There will also be visitation at the funeral home on Friday, September 26th, from 9:30 until 10:30 AM. 

Services:  a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 26, 2008 in Holy Family Parish Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac.  Entombment will follow at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. 

Dorothy Ann was an inspiration in our lives and will be sadly missed by all.
